Another two months have passed since my last update and it has already been over a month since the wedding! Things are finally starting to settle down here...though I still have moving boxes in the living room. Slacker, I know.
I thought I would do a short post on the downstairs bathroom, which has actually been relatively done for a while. Like the whole house, it is still a work in progress but all of the basics are there! Like the fact we still don't have a toilet paper holder or actual window coverings. I have been working on adding finishing touches and decorations to the house but that part is going slowly as our bank accounts recover from the wedding :)
I wanted to keep a classic look in the bathroom. I feel that in old houses you should try to keep a little bit of the "old look" in each room and avoid going completely modern. It is a delicate balance between vintage and classic modern updates. Several people have asked or questioned the "original floor" and one person said "This looks like a Nicole Curtis bathroom!" both of which made me smile of course.
Turns out it is remarkably hard to get good pictures in small spaces...and I am definitely not a professional photographer by any means. I need some lighting lessons!
Here is the view into the bathroom from the office/study/spare bedroom.
I love black and white contrasts, so glad we decided to go with the dark grout!
